NISAR Health and Human Services’ Mission is to provide quality therapeutic services to individuals with special needs, including mental health issues, intellectual disabilities, traumatic brain injuries as well as other cognitive and physical disabilities.

Nisar’s largest program involves the provision of BHRS (Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services), formerly know as Wraparound. BHRS is a combination of behavioral, counseling and therapeutic interventions for children with challenging behaviors, mood disorders, impulse control disorders and autism developmental delays. The services are team-based working with the child & family in the home or community in order to support the optimal functioning of the child and maintain the integrity of the family.

Nisar is a service provider under the COMMCARE, OBRA and Independence Waiver Programs. These waiver programs give adults with various types of disabilities new options in their quest to remain as independent as possible. Nisar provides speech therapy, behavioral intervention services, educational services and counseling to individuals who are diagnosed with traumatic brain injuries as well as other types of disabilities.

Nisar provides a License Assistance Program for those individuals employed at Nisar Health and Human Services who are eligible to Counselors or Marriage and Family Counselors in the state of Pennsylvania. Nisar HHS offers a License Assistance Program that is completely free of charge. Weekly supervision is a part of this program.

Located in Monroeville, which is just 20 minutes East of Pittsburgh, Nisar mainly serves clients who reside in Allegheny County.
